A sustainable procurement handbook recently developed for UN with case studies in Africa and Asia, and training provided in Latin America. Commissioned by the Libyan Government to advise on sustainable reconstruction of their cities; acted in international juries, panels and committees to consult on sustainability.
Currently coordinating the global Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme (SBC) in the framework of the Paris Climate Agreement, Agenda 2030 and New Urban Agenda. Managed numerous international sustainable built environment related activities.
Participated in more than 25 international Research and Development projects during the past 10 years in close collaboration with industrial partners. Over 50 scientific publications during the past five years. Disseminated scientific findings and results as an invited lecturer in all continents.
Worked on EcoCity capacity building projects in Egypt, Zambia and Morocco and facilitated sustainable urban development workshops in Tanzania; 12 years as a Visiting Professor at the University of Salford supporting MSc and PhD students, as well as organizing and contributing to sustainability related events globally.
